What is Phuket weather like? Check it all out on the best Phuket weather page right here. See the chart below for monthly averages for temperature, rainfall, storms and more.
You’ll hear everything from “No problem, come on over” to “It rained for days!”
The short story is that Phuket has a fairly typical tropical weather pattern. Two seasons really, a hot season, which is fairly dry and a rainy season, which is a little cooler (though it never really gets cold). The hot season can be quite hot with even the nights being warm to hot. You won’t need a sweater except for all the places that run the air conditioning too much – and there are a lot of those.
Some like the rainy season because it cools the weather down a little. Though the rain will rarely change your daily plans. After it rains things cool off nicely and nights can be perfect. Nice and cool, but never cold. You might need a windbreaker if you are driving a motocycle,
Typically (if such a thing exists), there is a good afternoon thundershower (20-60 minutes) during the rainy season and a good hard rain in the middle of the night. But, the island does get the occasional 2-3 day storm, which you might not enjoy if it is in the middle of your four-day vacation.
Here’s a chart of the weather with monthly averages for high and low temperature, rain in inches on average per month, number of days per month with rain and days per month with storms.
