LeMeridien Phuket Beach Resort

LeMeridien is a one of a kind resort - sitting on its own beach.  It also has a first class spa - one of the best on the island. 

This resort is great for people who want to be close to the night life action of Patong - but still be away from the noise and bustle.  You'll find the little canyon the resort sits in very relaxing.  I think it is a first class resort - and quite a good bargain for the price.

Here's the photos page of the LeMeridien.   The location is quite convenient. The drive to Patong will be about 5 minutes, to Karon about 5 minutes, and to Kata Beach about ten minutes.

Kata Beach Resort

Kata Beach is the best beach on the island.  It is a must visit when relatives and friends come to the island.    The resort also has one of the best breakfast buffets on the island - another favorite of mine.  The resort is set so that almost all the rooms have great views of the sea.

Kata Beach still retains the flavor of the early days of Phuket - small shops - and quite a few great restaurants.

Bang Tao Beach Resort

Sitting right on Bang Tao Beach with good views from most rooms is the Bang Tao Beach Resort and Spa.  When you can catch a special - this resort is a good value.  One of the best features here - is the variety of beach shack restaurants up and down Bang Tao Beach.  Actually, the restaurant at the hotel is great and if you cruise Bang Tao Beach from one end to the other - you'll find many great restaurants - right on the sea.

At night you can hear the sea breaking - a soothing way to lull to sleep.  For the very best location - ask for #1011 or #1012 - they are two rooms in a separate small building - facing the sea - perhaps only 60 feet from the high tide mark.  Great!   Reservations 24 has a good photo page for the
