The Yacht Haven Restaurant
on Phuket's
Phang Nga Bay

 With one of the great views of Phuket's Phang Nga Bay and the marina - this is a restaurant that shouldn't be missed.  Prices are moderate, service is good and the selection of foods is great.

This place has what some believe to be the best cheeseburger on Phuket.  The fish and chips is well done, and their deserts are varied and usually excellent.

Yacht Haven is on the far north of the island.  Follow the signs once you get past Blue Canyon Golf Course.  If you get to the police check point - you've gone too far - turn around and head back.  The turn off is on one of the large sweeping corners on the main highway.  You'll have to drive through a small Muslim village on the way - watch out for the speed bumps that aren't always well-marked or painted.

Before you get to the small road to the restaurant, you'll notice the view of the marina [see photo at the top of this page].  Quite often you'll see an old steamer down below - the Kalizma, a 1906 yacht once owned by Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor that now makes Phuket its home.

Take your binoculars - so you can check out the multi-million dollar yachts docked in the marina.  You will enjoy looking them over while waiting for the meal to be delivered.

After your meal consider a stroll over to the marina - this is one of the few that still allow you to walk up and down the walkways and enjoy the boats.
