Many a life fantasy is based on living on a tropical island - I dreamt about it from the time I was about eight.

But . . . life is full of complications and things to consider - and these decisions are not always easy to make.  And many of your friends will consider you crazy.

But who cares!?

It is they who are crazy living a humdrum routine life.  Pack the bags and get on over here - now!

However, for the more cautious of you out there - here are some great places to start learning more:

Transitions Abroad:  I subscribed to their magazine - long ago - when I started thinking about making a life overseas permanent and not just an exciting few years.  They got me on track for some training in EFL - and thinking about the wide variety of career and living options overseas.  Check them out - the website is, of course, packed with tons of free information.

Another UK based expats organization is Expats.org.uk - these are good organizations for gathering information from your fellow world travelers - rather than just places with hotel rooms to sell.
