Phuket's Best Island Drives:
The Dream Land Loop
 

This is a good drive for people thinking of an eventual move to Phuket.  Dream Land is a loop through a residential neighborhood in the Nai Harn area.  Phuket has a little something for everyone and this neighborhood is no different.  Looking for a multi-million dollar estate or a modest bungalow?  Both are here in this area.  Many a fantasy drive has taken place through this neighborhood.  It is a good way to see what is available. Though there are certainly many other popular and livable areas on the island, this is as good a place as any to start.

Drive the main road through the Nai Harn area (follow the signs to the Le Meridien Yacht Club Resort) - and you'll see a sign pointing west to "Dreamland".  The loop will bring you out just down the road from Nai Harn Beach.  The whole loop, even if driven slowly won't take more than 15 or 20 minutes and this is a good drive to do when you are down on the southern part of the island to see Prom Thep Cape.

Don't limit yourself to just Dream Land.  If you get off the main roads and cruise some of the dirt roads you will frequently find new and developing neighborhoods worth investigating.  Though I personally have grown more interested in the northern part of the island. this is the area that first captured my imagination and convinced me to move here.
