Don's Cafe on Phuket:
located in the Rawai Nai Harn area  

aka: Don's Steak and Rib City

A long-time favorite of residents of Phuket.  Ribs better than back home - courtesy of a man who knows how to do Tex-Mex.

A bright and airy outdoor dining area, set on the southern part of Phuket.  It is one of my favorite restaurants and I even considered moving to that part of the island at one time, just so I could go there to eat more often.  That's how good it is!

Find Don's by driving to the southern part of the island either south through Kata Beach or via the Chalong Circle.  It's not easy to find - but it is on the main road that is in the middle of the island in that area - not the roads that follow the coast lines.  The signs are big, however, and you won't drive by it by accident.

You'll find Don cordial and you will end up talking to him almost every time you go there.  He is a restaurateur by nature though an engineer by training.  He is always in the best of moods and is quite interested in assuring that your meal is top notch.

From the restaurant, it's only a short drive down to Nai Harn Beach for an after dinner stroll.  Also, Flintstone's Bakery/Restaurant is in the area if you get hankering for a great dessert or ice cream.  BUT - Don's has the best pecan pie in Asia - I promise!
