Phuket's Best Beaches
Reviewed from a local perspective

Well, it's why we are all here, isn't it.  If you've been around the world - you know that Phuket offers some of the finest beaches in the world.  And, Phuket is affordable!  A winning combination for those of us who can't afford Maui!  If you'd like to check out my Favorite Beaches you've found the right place.  

 If you don't mind a short drive, many fine beaches are just up the road from the most heavily populated Patong, Karon, and Kata Beaches.

Isolation calls many of us - I love to have a beach and the sea to myself - so head on up the highway, off the island a bit to find some really spectacular sights.
 This beach is just off Thai Muang. Spectacular!

Awe-inspiring Sunrises and Sunsets can easily be found.

Nai Thon Beach is known for its Squeaky Sand.

Hidden away in a small cove - you'll Laem Singh.

And last, but not least are photos and directions for a few special beaches.  This shot is of Freedom Beach.

Just the photos alone here - make me want to jump on the motorcycle and head down the road a bit - for cool swim.  Give serious consideration to driving the entire west coast of the island from Prom Thep Cape up to the bridges that connect the island to the mainland.  You'll find some isolated places, some beautiful places, and quite a few surprises.  It's worth the drive!
